The Purple Mattress has huge positives. To begin with, the Hyper-Elastic Polymer Grid Comfort Layer is incredibly innovative and a huge advancement in technology. It adapts to sleeper’s unique pressure points for superior comfort, properly aligns the spine in any sleep position, promotes airflow to help sleepers stay cool, and prevents motion-transfer. It also works well with the other two foam layers. All three layers work well to give the sleeper a great balance of soft and firm, but also comfort and support.
Other strong points for the Purple mattress include that it sleeps cool (Click here to see Best Mattress for Keeping Cool) and has pretty much no off-gassing. The Polymer Grid again is the main reason the mattress stays cool. Other areas where the mattress ranked high include in the essential areas of support and durability. Purple also did well in the other attributes area with limited motion transfer, just the right amount of sinkage, decent edge support, no noise, and adequate bounce.
